| Dennis Baker died on
Tuesday June 5, 2001 from complications as a result of being paralyzed
from the waist down after an accident at the Edgewater Sports Park on
Friday June 1, 2001. Baker was testing a newly built Rail
Dragster when the throttle stuck. In trying to scrub off speed by
running against the wall, the Dragster rolled over resulting in
paralysis to Baker. He developed an infection and in the days following
the accident passed away. At the time of his death, he was
survived by his parents, a brother, sister and his fiancee. Dennis
Baker Jr. is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger, Kentucky.
