| Brief History:
Opened as a 3/8 mile paved oval in 1955, remained
that way until 1961; converted to a 1/4 mile & 3/8 mile dirt ovals
in 1962; 1962 to the present is the current 1/2 mile dirt oval. Home of
the North/South 100, Ralph Latham Memorial, Spring 50. The Florence
Speedway site also is the home of the Dirt Late Model National Hall of
Fame. |
