    Hamilton County Fairgrounds
    Taken in December 2006, the current Grandstand at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.

    Brief Track History
    Track:  Active - 1/2 mile dirt oval.
    Track Location: 7801 Anthony Wayne, Cincinnati, Ohio 45216, near the corner of Vine Street and Paddock Road in Carthage.
    Hamilton County Fairgrounds - aka. Carthage Fairgrounds
    Directions: Take I- 75 to the Towne Street/Elmwood Place Exit  8,  head west on Seymour Road and follow it to Vine Street, turn right onto Vine.
    Brief History: In 1853, the current fairgrounds in Carthage was chosen as the permanent site of what would become the Hamilton County Fair. An exact date as to when the dirt oval was built is uncertain. Midget car races were held c. May 14, 1936 - c. June 25, 1936. While the 1/2 mile track is gone, the Fair continues to hold Demo Derby's in front of the main grandstand.

    October 16, 1920 | Driver Harvey Crane; Hometown: Fort Wayne, Indiana
    Driver Harvey Crane was fatally injured  while competing in an Automobile race at the Carthage Faigrounds.
