    Brief Track History
    Track:  Defunct - 1/2 or 5/8 mile dirt oval, former Horse Track at the Florence Fairgrounds. Exact years that Auto Races were held is unknown at this time.
    Track Location: K.I.R. was located on the west side of Interstate I-75/71, and north of what is now Rt. 842/Weaver Rd., just south of Florence.
    Sanctions: The Kentucky International Raceway has hosted the following Sanctioning organizations - United States Auto Club Midgets & Automobile Racing Club of America Stock Cars.
    Brief History: Lou Klug and Ross Smith were track Promoters.
