    Brief Track History
    Track:  Defunct - 1 mile dirt oval, May 14, 1911, 1/4 mile dirt oval (1937)
    Track Location: Track was located at the end of Latonia Avenue, about a 1/4 mile from the corner of Winston Avenue & 38th Street. The Horse Track is noted by a Historical Marker that stands in front of the American Legion Hall.
    Brief History: The Latonia Horse Track operated from 1883 until 1939. Early Automobile time trial and exhibition races were held as early as 1907. Midget races were held on the 1/4 mile track in 1937. The final Horse Racing card was held on July 29, 1939. The facility was sold to the Standard Oil Company of Ohio, and was dismantled during World War II.

    Race Notes: Gilchrist (Stoddard Dayton) and Stevens (Matheson) dropped out on account of dust. Race A was for cars from 161 to 230 cubic inches displacement and Race B was for cars exceeding 230 cubic inch displacement.

    May 13 & 14, 1911 | A two day event sponsored by the Cincinnati Automobile Dealers Association was held. Races ranged from 2 mile dashes to a 1 hour race, and a 50 lap Feature Event on Sunday. Motorcycles races were also held on the track; Winners: Unkown
