As
you can see she has the
most beautiful decoration and clothing. This very early dolls
comes from a private collection in France. She is pictured in the
1926 catalog. The only doll like this in existence
that I am aware
of. The decoration on her is metallic thread , like on the
Rudolph Valentino dolls and other very early dolls. This
has
red and green color stones , surrounded by gold disc, and trimmed
metallic thread
embellished throughout the dress. ie. her heavy color, belt trim,
bottom of dress, her gloves on her arms are also heavily embroidered
with metallic thread. Her yarn braids also trimmed with metallic
thread and painted gold wood buttons, also found on the Rudolph
Valentino doll. I find that interesting the detail of both dolls , they
really were so ornate in these early years.. The under
skirt is lined in a deep dark brown and another under skirt in
green with deep dar red color contrast trim, she has some
moth damage on the wool but still a very beautiful doll and after all
she is quite old. Cotton bloomers and black felt shoes or foot
coverings. They are also unique as the doll is so
different. The necklace , thats as pictured in her catalog
picture , although that is in black and white. But seeing the
doll in color is a whole different matter. She is quite colorful.
Would be great for a museum. As
you can see she has the

existence that I am aware

Another exceptional doll and very
early doll, so early 1923, she
is marked with the metal "lenci" pin in the back of her
dress. Love that head piece a collectors dream of a
doll. A doll you will never be able to see or
purchase again. I believe its probably the only one
existing. Another museum
piece.
