I am an Asian American Art Director. That's right, I am the point where East meets West, and left brain mixes with right brain. And, with all the Power Bars I eat, I put out enough energy to light up the whole building. No wonder there is craziness.

But please don't take this the wrong way. All that energy is harnessed for peaceful purposes, and I am always under control. (At least that's what I think.) In fact, this web site was built with some of that extra energy. This is not a personal ad. It is designed primarily to show my passion for my work as an Art Director, to share and exchange my philosophies and knowledge in advertising, and finally, to express my personality. I've always had a passion for art. But my advertising career didn't take off until I met John Chepelsky in '85 at what was then Werner/Chepelsky & Partners, and is now Bozell Kamstra. John taught me everything from the art of Hot Matel Type to the art of drinking micro-brew and picking up women. Thanks to Chepelsky, my style became polished, and I learned how to trust and follow my gut instinct.

I believe in good creative over profit, craftsmanship over mass production, looking over every design detail, including 6pt type, and never forgetting to have fun at the 11th hour while mounting the presentation for the next morning. Which brings me back to why I hand-built this web site. I want to attract people with this same kind of thinking, and hopefully work with them in the near future.
