 PRAYER - PHASE ONE OF REVIVAL
 

Isaiah 57:15-16 (NIV) For this is what the high and lofty One says he who lives forever, whose name
is holy:  "I live in ahigh and holy place,  but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,  to revive the
spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.



I. LIFE IN THE LAST DAYS WILL BE LIKE:

A. LONG EMOTIONAL, POWERFUL CHURCH SERVICES
1. PEOPLE WORSHIP WITH ENTHUSIASM
2. PRAY WITH PASSION AND REACH OUT IN FAITH
3. POWER DEMONSTRATED IN NEW AND UNIQUE WAYS.
a. INCLUDING PHYSICAL RESPONSES.

1. AWAKEN PEOPLE BY CHANGING THEIR LIVES
a. SCHEDULES AND PRIORITIES CHANGE
b. SINNERS ARE CONVERTED
c. SAINTS ARE SANCTIFIED
d. PEOPLE ARE CALLED INTO MINISTRY
e. CHURCH SERVICES COME ALIVE
f. POWER IS REVEALED IN THRILLING WAYS
II. REVIVAL HAS AT LEAST TWO CLASSES OF PEOPLE
A. DEAD OR LOST THAT ARE DAMNED TO HELL
1. DEAD IS A METAPHOR THAT REFERS TO THE FACT THAT THE LOST ARE SEPERATED FROM GOD (Ephesians 2:1-3)
a. DEAD IN SIN, WITHOUT HOPE
b. WITHOUT GOD
i. HIS LOVE AND FORGIVENESS
ii. PEACE, COMFORT AND PRESENCE
2. THEY NEED TO BE REVIVED
B. THEY NEED TO BE REVIVED
1. FALLEN ASLEEP IN A WORTHLESS CONDITION
a. ALIVE BUT DEAD LIKE IN A COMA
b. ALIVE BUT PASSION IS GONE, GODLINESS IS DEAD
c. ALIVE BUT BEARING NO FRUITS
2. WE NEED TO BE REVIVED
C. BOTH NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO LIFE
1. AWAKENED, FRUITFUL
III.  REACHING UP TO GOD - FIRST PHASE OF REVIVAL
A. PRAYER NOT TO BRING BUT THE BEGINNING OF REVIVAL
1. SLEEPING SAINTS
a. SELDOM PRAY
b. THEY ARE IN BONDAGE
c. THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE
2. THEY BECOME VERY RELIGIOUS SAINTS
a. THE HARDEST TO REVIVE
b. BECOMES AN ANESTHETIC
c. FIGHT TO MAINTAIN STATUS QUO  (John 11:44-48)
i. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE UP POWER
ii. BELIEVING NOT THEIR OWN WORDS
IV.  DO YOU HAVE A HUNGER FOR GOD TODAY?
