Class: Pallasite
Found: Russia in 1967
This Seymchan specimen has various colored crystals embedded in iron/nickel. This a wonderful example of crystals from the mantle embedded in metal from the core - at the mantle / core boundary.
Class: Pallasite
Found: Brazil / Bahia in 1984
This pallasite is almost entirely crystal. Two views are shown. When held in your hand, it is a relatively dark stone. However, when held up to light it lets a surprising amount of light through, revealing a rich brownish yellow color.
Pallasites are some of the most beautiful meteorites. They come from deeper in an asteroid, at the boundary of molten metal migrated to the center of the parent body and the rocky mantle above it.

Class: Bencubbinite
Found: Nigeria in 1984
Bencubbinite-like meteorites are extremely rare and unusual. They are carbonaceous chondrites with huge, cm-sized chondrules. Their origin is a mystery - but signs point to formation directly from the solar nebula.
