133	i.	Walter DEJACO was born on 19 Jun 1909 in Austria. He was an architect, and became a member of the Nazi party and the then illegal S.S.Austrian in July 1933. Mobilized end of 1939, he was assigned in June 1940 to Auschwitz Bauleitung which was being set up. From 1941 to 1944 he was head of department buildings in Auschwitz, and then deputy director of the central Bauleitung der Waffen-SS, responsible for the expansion of the camp and extermination facilities. Made prisoner by the Soviets in the Spring of 1945, he spent five years in captivity. In 1960 he was arrested and accused by the Reutte Court as having discovered the use of gas chambers after being put into service. The case was dismissed. In January 1972 he was indited by the Superior Criminal Court of Vienna, but was acquitted in March. The Courts decided that he was just following orders according to the Auschwitz Bauleitung Archives handed over by the Soviets. He died on 28 Jan 1978. He was buried in Wilten (Innsbruck), Austria. He was a building master.
134	ii.	Cäcilia (Cilli) DEJACO was born on 2 Feb 1911. She died on 6 Sep 1977. She was buried in Wilten (Innsbruck), Austria.
