172. Florence BANKEMPER Birkenhauer was born on July 19, 1925 in Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky. She was baptized on July 26, 1925 in Newport, Kentucky, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was baptized by Fr. L. N. Leinheuser. Her godparents were Edward DeJaco and Catherine Kendall. She was confirmed on May 21, 1935 in Newport, Kentucky, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Florence BANKEMPER Birkenhauer and Murdock (Doc) BIRKENHAUER were married on May 9, 1946.

Murdock (Doc) BIRKENHAUER was born on April 20, 1919.

He died on July 22, 2006. From his obituary in the Cincinnati Enquirer: ALEXANDRIA - Murdock "Doc" Birkenhauer, 87, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a furniture refinisher, a World War II Army veteran and member of Campbell County V.F.W. Post 3205, Alexandria. Survivors include his wife, Florence Bankemper Birkenhauer; daughters, Emily Coots, Linda Martin, Terry Morton, Susie Clark and Annette Walz; sons, Doc Jr. and Paul Birkenhauer; sisters, Esther Scarp, Agnes Mader, Charlotte Volphenhein and Chloe Synol; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. His son, Mark Birkenhauer, died previously. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. with Mass of Christian burial following Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Alexandria. Burial will be in St Mary Cemetery. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Florence BANKEMPER Birkenhauer and Murdock (Doc) BIRKENHAUER had the following children:
