An excerpt from the Diary of Jonathan Holmes:

May 12-14, 1737 we was at Burlingtowne in order to talk with the Lawyers which was so busy that we could not talk with them at first by reason that they had some cases of Land for to plead for between Danl Coxe & Jo(n) Everet & John Dow thos ment Coxe gainst Henry Oxley Defen't the plaintiffs gained both cases thos one Jury was from about 11 or 12 at night till 11 or 12 next day before they sealed their verdict.
