Will of Henry Oxley, Loudoun County, Virginia.
In the name of God, Amen. I, Henry Oxley of Virginia in Loudoun County, being weak in body but of sound memory blessed to God do this day February 6th in the year 1776 make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say First I give to my son Henry Oxley a feather bed and pillers. Also I give and bequeth to my daughter Hannah Stevengs a large puter bason. Also I give to my daughter Mary Howell a pewter dish and bason. Also I give to my grandson Jessey Oxley on English Shilling. Also I give to my Grandaughter Barthaney Sanders a Bible. Also I give to my daughter Rachel Oxley all the goods that she had before I came to live with her the last time and likewise all the remainder of my goods that I brought for Clear Oxley and I make and ordain my Daughter Rachel Oxley Executrix and Joseph Jenney and Robert Slocombe Executors of this my will to take care and see the same performed according to my true intent and meaning Witness whereof I the said Henry Oxley have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the Day and year above written.

At a Court held for Loudoun County, October 13, 1777
This will of Henry Oxley decd. was proved by Robert Fulton, and Brittain Oxley, and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Rachel Oxley the Executrix therein named who made Oath according to law, Certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate thereof in due form she giving Security. Whereupon she with John Marks and Brittain Oxley her securities entered into and acknowledged Bond in the penalty of five hundred pounds conditioned as the Law directs, and liberty is granted the other Executor to qualify when he thinks fit.
