In Loudoun County, Will book B, page 313, the following will:
I Rachel Oxley of Loudoun County, in the province of Virginney being sick and weake of body but of sound mind an [sic] memory do think fit to make an ordain this ny last will and Testament in menner and form following hereby revoking all other wills her to before by me made in word or writing. I leave for Jesse Oxley one shilling stearlling left him by my father in his estate. I allso leave to my sun Jerremiah two Shilling starling. First I leave that all my debts shall be paid. Second I give and bequeath to Mary Oxley, my brother's John Daughter, my streaket lincy gound. Thirdly I give and bequeath to my sister Hannah daughter Mary Oxley my gold ring and red pocket book, forthly I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Howman my cows in hollow agern an[d] diger napkin. Fiftly, I give and bequeath to my sister Hannah Stevens all the rest of my close and linen except on black gound and one peticote of liney to Joel. lastely I vie and bequeath unto my sun Joel Oxley the track of land wherein on I now live to gether with all my estate being part of a track of land bequeath me by my father Henry Oxley. I hereby leave it all to my son Joel Oxley holy rail and personly to him and his heairs for ever of this my last will testiment given under my hand this twenty eight day of Octover 1779 Sined sealed published by me Rachel Oxley. I leve Joel and James Stevens an[d] Hannah Stevens, his wife.

James Stevens and John Oxley executors holy to take care of the late and estate til the child is of age. At a court held for Loudoun County November the 8th 1779 this will was proved by the Oaths of Alice Stevens and Hannah Stevens witness thereto and ordered to be recorded and the mothion of James Stevens the executor, who made Oath according to Law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate therof in due form he giving security Whereupon the said James with Thomas Ressess Gent: his security entered into and acknowledged their Bonds in the Penalty of Two thousand Pounds Conditioned as the Law directs.
