RARE DINOSAUR PIECES
TREX TOOTH AS COMPARED TO THE ALBERTOSAURUS . Albertosaurus length 2"(55mm) tooth, tooth base circumference 57mm(or base =104% of length). Trex tooth #1 length 2"(58mm), tooth base circumference 72mm(or base =124% of length). Trex tooth #2 length 2 3/4"(68 mm), tooth base circumference 89mm(or base =134% of length). The base of Trex has a bigger circumference ratio then the Albertosaurus. The Trex also has a bigger curve to the tooth as can be seen by the below picture. The Albertosaurus has 60 serrations to the inch whereas the Trex has only 48 serrations to the inch. The picture below also shows the comparison of the serrations as they stand side by side. I hope this will help others in their desire to learn the characteristics of a Trex tooth
