4.) Jeremiah Murray "descended from Scottish Covenanters [who were]
resettled, without choice, in Londonderry, Ireland, during the
persecution of Presbyterians in Scotland. He emigrated to
Pennsylvania about 1730, and was ordained an elder in the Covenanter
(Reformed) Society of Rock Creek, near Gettysburg, PA., in 1753, by
the Rev. John Cuthbertson, who had come over from Scotland in 1751"

[903] 1.) Some information is taken from a photocopied article on Alfred E.Pelz. The source is some publication of A.E. Pelz's place of work, Ibelieve. Publication was in possession of Charles A. Pelz, and wasphotocopied by me circa February 1995.
2.) Concerning relatives of the Pelzes in Germany, Carol Tafelskisays that we do have relatives in East Germany (Letter 2). (Based oninfo from the source, "6 Mar 1997 letter from Werdau civil registry,"I am assuming that these would be relatives through Ernst RichardPelz.) She says that Alfred E. Pelz and his wife Pauline (Paula)visited these relatives every so often.
3.) Alfred Ernst Pelz "dream of coming to the USA even as a child,but before he could emigrate, [World War I] broke out and he served asan airplane mechanic throughout the war. He then worked for Mercedesin Stuttgart. He married and [later] married in 1923." Alfred E.Pelz disembarked at the port of New York (Ellis Island) (Letter 7; p.2).
