The Evolution of RAAMUS


1983 - Phase 01) - Development of 7 Founding Principles  - 1983

Ideological and behavioral specificity for Dr. Ghee's personal and collective self actualization,
building on afrocentric inspiration and scholarship

1985 - Phase 02) - Founded the RAAMUS Network & Sun Logo - 1985

Indoctrinating college and other students into cultural consciousness & academic achievement using the 7 Founding Principles as an ideological guide for personal growth

1988 - Phase 03) - Course Development (Self & Human Relations) - 1988

Teaching students of all races about diversity & humanitarian values (over 1000 per year)

1990 - Phase 04) - The RAAMUS Academy (3 year pilot project) - 1990

Community Outreach - After-School Edu-Cultural Pilot Program  (for boys, ages 9-15)

1990 - Phase 05) - Research & Scholarship - 1990 (On Going)

Publication of the theory, methodology of Edu-Culture and results of the RAAMUS Academy

1991 - Phase 06) - The RAAMUS Warriors - Youth Rap Group - 1991-1992

Managed public drum & rap group (students - ages 9 - 15) promoting the RAAMUS doctrine

1992 - Phase 07) - The RAAMUS Mythology (Animation) - 1992

Development of new super hero mythology using dynamic afrocentric images & concepts. First Dr. Ghee and Ken Delaney made a comic book entitled "The Fantastic Adventures of Amen Ra". Dr. G also directed a Black Super Hero comic book & video club for youth ages 7 - 13 (1995-96) to promote reading, character development and and cultural identity

1993 - Phase 08) - Curriculum Development & Program Consultation - 1993

Assisting schools and other youth agencies & community programs in maximizing edu-culture through in-service training and consultation

1994 - Phase 09) - Dr. G. Productions - Concert & Motivational Speeches - 1994

Started outreach Drum Poetry Concerts and speeches, to reach & teach youth in the schools & community (all ages, elementary schools, high schools, colleges, and community groups)

1995 - Phase 10) - The Fantastic Adventures of Amen Ra Cartoon - 1995

Award winning still-life animation made for local cable television to promote new mythology

1999 - Phase 11) - RAAMUS Web Site - 1999

Development of Advertising web site for information, marketing, promotion & sells

2000 - Phase 12) - RAAMUS Incorporated - 2000 and Beyond

In the spirit of Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), we are establishing a for-profit business to develop, promote, and market RAAMUS ideas & products (toys, services, videos, etc.)

2002 - Phase 13) - Formation of ISIS-D (Intelligent Sister In the Spirit of Dance)

A drum and dance troupe developed in order to reach and teach through Drum Poetry & African Dance and to promote cultural identity and sisterhood among participating college students at the University of Cincinnati.

2003 - Phase 14) - Book Writing Projects on the RAAMUS Ideology & Related Subjects

Dr. Ghee is currently working on a book detailing the RAAMUS Ideology and his socio-historical analysis of African America: it's challenges and solutions for the new millennium. (Previous writings by Dr. G may be found at your local library and/or are available for purchased here (press here)).
