THE SEVEN FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF

RAAMUS

The Oath of the RAAMUS Warrior:

1. I PLEDGE TO dedicate my life to the progress and prosperity of African-American people, as many have done before me, and as will be done after.

2. I PLEDGE TO define and consider myself an "African-American", as only this term comes close to the realization of my true heritage.

3. I PLEDGE TO study and live a meaningful philosophy based on the history of my people and our continued struggle for independence and freedom.

4. I PLEDGE TO give direction and perspective, to bestow insight and knowledge upon all who cross my path as I journey towards self-actualization.

5. I PLEDGE TO discard the word "nigger" as it has historically represented the lowest form of racial disrespect and insult to my brethren.

6. I PLEDGE TO identify with the motherland (Africa) as I journey towards spiritual contact with my great ancestors in my lifetime.

7. I PLEDGE TO dedicate myself to the fullest realization and strengthening of my physical, mental and spiritual self, as I live to serve almighty GOD.

" For I have been ordained and commissioned by the ancestors to inspire my brothers, be they Christian, Muslim, or of another faith, so they may take their righteous place in the cultural, spiritual, and mental awakening and strengthening of our people. "

Biblical Wisdom:

Behold. I send you forth as sheep

in the midst of wolves: Be ye

therefore wise as serpents and

harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16).
