My Bad Experience with ebay Seller cyberdiveshop

This page is dedicated to exposing a fraudulent auction I won on ebay.

I have been an active member of ebay since November 22, 1999.   I have had over 135 successful transactions buying and selling there.  My rating on ebay is outstanding and has been without blemish until a recent fraudulent transaction.

Why was this transaction fraudulent?   Plain and simple, the seller advertised the item as an XXXXLARGE-Shorty Wetsuit---Brand New-3mm.  I e-mailed the seller after viewing his webpage asking some questions about this and some other items.   We eventually talked on the phone and we was very friendly prior to the sale.  I ended the auction 4 days early with the "buy it now" option.  I e-mailed the seller telling him that I wanted to give him my credit card info over the phone rather than e-mailing it to him and mailing it was ridiculous.   I then called and gave him the info telling him that I was in no hurry and that USPS would be fine for shipping.   I received his package on march 27.   The shipping was quick.   However there were a couple of problems.   First, the advertised 4X shorty was only a 3X shorty that was obviously altered.  Somebody added a fourth "X" before the printed size on the label with a marker.

The auction clearly indicated the size of the shorty as well as stating "Brand New Scuba  Men's        Shorty Wetsuit XXXXL--240 to 260.   I tried on the suit weighing 243 and the suit is extremely tight both in the midsection and in the arms.  I have average size arms with no fat or massive muscles.   When I called the seller, he was rude and obnoxious.   He kept claiming that he could send me a real 3X for me to try on to prove this is really a 4X and that this is how they all come from the factory. Read the e-mail response I received after I e-mailed him following our phone conversation.

Upon confronting the fraudulent seller seeking a fair transaction in accordance with the rules of the auction site, the seller refused to make good on the auction and decided to resort to slander and name calling as well as posting my one and only negative feedback.  I refuse to stoop to his level and return the name calling and demeaning unfounded remarks.  Based on principle alone I have decided to expose this fraud so that potential victims will not fall prey to his antics as well.  The seller from Key Largo Florida is cyberdiveshop.  As of the creation of this webpage he has over 15 Negative feedback's and several Neutral or positive feedback's with notations of foul attitude, misrepresentation,  or poor dealings.  I should never have bid on his item and that was my first mistake.

Don't be his next sucker!  This guy is making a living taking advantage of ebay customers and pretending to be losing money.   If he's losing money, why doesn't he go away?   Simple, he's MAKING money so don't feel sorry for him.  He claims to be giving away the product.  Nothing in life worth having is free.

Read his feedback... it speaks volumes about the guy!

Like most of the other sellers who prey upon folks, he will not post feedback for any of his buyers until AFTER they have posted favorably on his behalf.   Most good ebay sellers post feedback for the buyer as soon as they have received payment.  This allows him to post negative feedback in response if and when he has an unhappy customer who feels taken and responds honestly in their feedback for him.  He is a snake in every sense of the word.
