Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a scientifically validated integrative psychotherapy. The
process, discovered by Dr. Francine Shapiro, Ph.D. in 1987, entails an 8 phase process for
resolution of past trauma or abuse using bilateral stimulation while
focusing on traumatic stimuli in a safe professional environment.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes
the important role of thinking in how we feel and how we behave. It
teaches the importance of identifying the thinking that causes feelings and
behaviors and how to learn to replace our thinking with thoughts that lead
to healthier reactions.
