Old Northwest Historical Society
The Old Northwest Historical Society is an educational organization
dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the history of the Old
Northwest Territory.This is the region northwest of the Ohio river that
became the states
of Ohio, Indiana, Illinios, Michigan, and Wisconsin. After the close of
the
American Revolution, the Northwest territory became the focus of the
first
western land rush. We remember those brave pioneers and American
Indians who
fought for the land and made our country what it is today.
If you are interested in the exploits of Daniel Boone, Simon
Kenton, George Rogers Clark, Gen. Anthony Wayne, Arthur St. Clair,
Tecumseh, Little Turtle, or want to learn more historical about the
Shawnees, Miamis, Wyandots, or Delaware, or other Native American
tribes that inhabitited the area known as the Old Northwest territory
(to the settlers), you'll enjoy our group.

help raise awarness towards the Shawnee and honor their history in
Ohio. The Tecumseh Club is a member organization of the Old
