There
were specially prepared by ModelGraphics, and cost $15 per set.

those
wishing to convert a previously purchased Bearcat kit, we still offer

Rare Bear conversion pack.
We now offer the choice of a complete kit or a
parts
and plans pack for converting a previously purchased Bearcat kit to
Lyle Shelton's
famous "Rare Bear" Unlimited Reno Racer. Both contain parts
and
templates needed to convert the stock F8F-1 Bearcat, including the
low-profile
canopy, tall F8F-2 vertical fin, low-drag tail cone, and of course the
optional
clipped wing (span is reduced to 27").
Shown is a shot of my own Rare Bear Reno racer,
modified
from a production F8F-1 Bearcat kit. This particular model is powered
by an
AstroFlight brushless 020
motor
and 7 X 700AR cells. Covering is white and metallic gold Ultracoat. All
up
weight is slightly over 20 ounces with the larger battery, and
performance
borders on hair-raising!
