THE PARISH LIBRARY – The feature this week is a book: Our Lady’s Book by Lauren Ford. Highly acclaimed artist and storyteller Lauren Ford tells the stories in word and picture of appearances of Our Lady to visionaries of five approved apparitions over the last 150 years. This is a beautiful, inspirational book that reveals the love and compassion of the Blessed Virgin Mary for strife-torn humanity.

WE NEED YOUR HELP It is time to update our parish Guidebook and Directory. This year we are switching to a new publisher – Diocesan Publication (same company that prints our weekly bulletin).

So that we have correct information for our directory, we ask that you review your family information that appears in the Directory. In some cases, nothing may have changed. But there are some instances where children may have moved out, married, etc. We want to put in the directory what you want in the directory (i.e. children’s names, phone number – listed or unlisted).

Please call the rectory at 441-1282 with any changes.
MASS FOR VOCATIONS will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Church in Independence, on May 14, at 7:00 p.m. Please join us as we pray for Vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate and Religious Life within our Diocese.
Automatic Offertory Payments - Stop writing a check each week, don't worry about missing your Sunday offertory while you are on vacation, and make changes to your auto-payment at any time! Click Here to learn more!
Please remember Saint Thomas in your will.
USE YOUR GIFTS IN SERVICE TO ONE ANOTHER

The Diocesan Parish Annual Appeal is an opportunity to share our gifts with others in our Diocese. Your gift makes possible many ministries and programs that bring the hope and love of Jesus Christ to thousands of His people.

“My oldest daughter had an unplanned pregnancy. We were very scared, angry – lots of emotions going through the family. I thought Catholic Social Services was only for the very poor and indigent, but our pastor suggested we contact them. They helped us with many sessions, lots of tears, and lots of hugs, through one of the most difficult positions we had ever experienced. You never know when your family may need their services. Our Diocese is blessed to have such a good program.”....Terri

Thank you to everyone who has made a pledge. Our generous stewardship has resulted in gifts of $41,371.00. Remember each gift is critical for the people we serve.
FROM THE PASTOR... At the Masses on Sunday, May 25, the Feast of Our Lord’s Body and Blood (Corpus Christi), Benediction and a time of quiet will be offered between Masses. The rosary will not be prayed before Masses on this day.
MARKET DAY ORDER FORMS are due today, please turn yours in as soon as possible.
