EMS Bicycle Patrol Hosts First Annual Bike Tour

(St. Clair Twp.)  In conjunction with St. Clair Township’s “St. Clair Days” festival, Butler County’s first EMS Bicycle Patrol is hosting the first annual St. Clair Days Bicycle Tour on September 14th 2002.  The tour is a bike ride open to all interested riders, and features a choice of a 15 mile and a 25 mile route through St. Clair Township, Madison Township and Trenton.  Along the route are several rest stops with various refreshments, several historic points, and a number of points of interest.

The registration fee for the ride is: Adults $8 in advance, $10 day of ride, Children 12 and under $5 in advance and $7 day of ride.  An additional discount is available for families and groups registering four or more riders.  Proceeds from the ride benefit the St. Clair Twp – New Miami Life Squad Bicycle Patrol and will be used for the purchase of new patrol bicycles and upgraded medical equipment.

All riders participating in the event will receive:

* Goodie bag
* Commemorative bicycle water bottle
* Two rest stops with beverages and snacks
* Sag wagon patrol
* Ride map
 
The EMS Bicycle Patrol was formed in April 2000 to provide first aid for community events, and in emergencies in and around St. Clair Township where ambulance response could be difficult or delayed.  The patrol will travel to events within a significant radius if there is a need.  There is no charge for the services of the patrol, but donations are appreciated.

Event coordinators interested in having the Bicycle Patrol present at their event are encouraged to contact the department for more information.

Butler County’s First EMS Bicycle Patrol Gears Up for New Season

(St. Clair Twp.)  Butler County’s first EMS Bicycle Patrol is already gearing up for another busy season.  It’s only March, and already a number of events are on the schedule. The patrol’s first scheduled deployment of the season is the MS Walk-A-Thon on April 22nd in Hamilton.

The EMS Bicycle Patrol was formed in April 2000 to provide first aid for community events, and in emergencies in and around St. Clair Township where ambulance response could be difficult or delayed.  The patrol will travel to events within a significant radius if there is a need.  There is no charge for the services of the patrol, but donations are appreciated.
