The Hino Suzakuken Students

Bass-playing prodigy. Cherishes the Rickenbacher guitar given to her by Iori Yagami when she auditioned at a live event for guitar idols many years ago. Iori's newly famous band, Serenade, were the guest judges at that event.

Although she enjoyed karate in JHS, she stopped due to pressure from her parents to be more feminine.

She played briefly in Barahime's first band, The Destroyers. When she found out Bara knew kung fu, she asked if she could practice with her.

Konatsu Harada, the first third-year student on the team, is the shortest of the five members of Machido High School, and also the shyest. She is rather skilled in kendo, is "self-motivated", and comes to practice every day. She is very quiet and can be flustered by some of the things her team, particularly her teacher, does (as shown in one episode of the anime). Konatsu is one of the strongest members on the team, second only to Karen Nishiyama.

Maya, the second third-year student on the team, is a competitive and tall girl with more team spirit than anyone else in her team. Maya is a bit of a tomboy and tends to speak in a rather aggressive and foul-mouthed manner, calling her teammates "twits" and "dumbasses" when they do not take kung fu seriously. However, she will stick up for her teammates when Yuri says cruel things about them (or rather, Akemi), as shown in two episodes of the anime. Apparently she also seems to have a rather large appetite that causes her to eat so much that she ends up with a severe stomachache later on.

Yuri Ando, the first second-year student on the team, is a girl who seems to zone out most of the time and seems not to care much about winning, but her looks can deceive others greatly. She is rather skilled at kung fu and is quite sadistic. Another trait of hers is Yuri's tendency to turn "black" and let some of her true nature show through, which always manages to induce fear in everyone, including her own teammates. Yuri also tends to openly badmouth her teammates, particularly Akemi Asakawa, when they do something that displeases her. When Yuri is showing her crueler side she is surrounded by a rather eerie black aura. Yuri also tends to resort to using nasty methods to win (such as tripping people with her foot, stepping on her opponents' feet, and "harassing" her opponent by showing her "black" aura) and then deny that she has cheated in a falsely sweet manner, much to the chagrin of the other members of her kung fu team, who are already rather frustrated with her apparent lack of team spirit. Apparently Yuri has a bit of a sweet tooth, as she once cost her team precious time at a practice match with Muroe High by making them stop at a café so she could "charge" her brain with sugar. She apparently does not function well in the morning. Occasionally she is seen reading a book during important moments (such as kung fu matches or team member assignments), a habit that only emphasizes her complete lack of desire to win.

Karen Nishiyama, the third third-year student on the team, is incredibly skilled at kung fu, but tends to shake when nervous. When she is cornered in a kung fu match she instinctively switches to the offensive, thus effectively beating her opponent. Because of her instinct of going on offense when in trouble Karen is the strongest on her kung fu team. Even though she is extremely skilled at kung fu, she does not like the idea of fighting an opponent that she does not know in real life, and she will attempt to run away when she is nervous.

Akemi Asakawa, the second second-year student on the team, is probably the most undedicated out of all the members of her team, as she seems only to care about her boyfriend to the point where she will ditch kung fu club over her boyfriend. When she encounters a problem with her boyfriend she will not do her best and will only go on the defense; however, when her boyfriend makes up with her she will immediately start pouring out all of her effort, making her a rather formidable opponent. Apparently none of her teammates save for Youko have any real concern for her, as they simply let her constant ditchings slide (even if she is ditching from a kung fu match). Youko, however, is appalled with her habit of constantly ditching kung fu just to meet up with her boyfriend and her lack of effort when she is upset.

She is a natural martial genius, possessing photographic reflexes; however unlike her identical twin, Sasara (who is class president at school), she is not very smart. Knowing that her only skill is martial arts, she puts no effort into schoolwork and gets quite easily bored with everything else. However, her new martial arts class holds her interest, having made many new friends. She likes cute things and being with people. Because she is not very smart and others tend to do her thinking for her, she has worked to be able to recognize if people are honest or not.

Despite her lack of leadership ability, she was voted co-captain due to her amazing martial talent and cuteness. It's a position she takes very seriously.

She is very confident and comes from a rich family. She is well versed in traditional Japanese arts and traditions, yet still is a modern girl in her own right. In her group consisting, she is the strong and dominant personality and acts as the older-sister figure. She often addresses herself as "Tama-oneechan".
She has a powerful forehead grabbing technique (Iron Claw) which she perfected on her perverted brother.

Konomi has a friendly disposition, and is often smiling and happy. She sometimes tries hard at cooking.

Karin Sasamori is the founder and only member of her school's "Mystery Club." Despite the name, the "Mystery Club" does not really read mystery novels or engage in real-life detective work, but is more a club for the occult, the supernatural, and unexplained. Most consider Karin an oddball, not only because of her interest in UFOs, but because of little things, such as her love for egg sandwiches and singing an odd nursery rhyme about eggs, as well.

Sango Himeyuri is the older Himeyuri twin. She is one school year younger than the protagonist, and helped develop the next generation maid androids for Hino Electronics. While she's quite bright in the technical aspect, to others, she seems quite naive and almost childish. Despite her childish attitude, Sango appears to be the "older sister" of the pair and often gives advice to her twin sister, Ruri.

Both her and Ruri, speak with an extremely strong Kansai (Osaka) dialect.

Ruri Himeyuri

Ruri Himeyuri is the younger Himeyuri twin. She is one school year younger than the protagonist, and is in the same class as Sango. She is fiercely protective and possessive of her sister, often delivering a flying roundhouse kick to boys who hit on her. She is an excellent cook, as well. Unlike her twin sister, Ruri is not very bright and cannot develop androids.

Yuma Tonami is very high-strung and aggressive, rides a bike, and for some reason always collides with others in many embarrassing situations. She lives in a rich family and is being trained to take over her grandfather's business.

A strange human(?) girl who can communicate with animals. Notable also for other traits, like using matchsticks as currency, writing in Egyptian hieroglyphs, raising her arms and speaking out "Ruu" (Which becomes a trend as a silly way of greeting people), and referring to all humans as "Uu".

Manaka Komaki is the class representative. She likes to help others out to the point that few realize she is being overburdened by her work. Despite being a good class rep, she has a fairly docile personality otherwise. Manaka assists the library club in marking archived books for barcoding, which causes a few problems since she is not a member. Has a talent for blending tea, which she does as a hobby. She's shy around boys. Despite being busy helping everyone at school, she still makes time to visit her younger sister, Ikuno, who is in the hospital.

Yuki Kusakabe

Yuki Kusakabe is a mysterious girl who carries around an untitled black notebook in which she is always writing. She rarely speaks to the others though she often makes cryptic remarks as she writes in her notebook.
