Alexi confronts Gloria about the path she is taking. She makes clear her intentions, and they come to an understanding on where each of them stand (in a conversation that took about 10 pages of e-mail). Though on her way to Chicago to meet with potential allies, she agrees to set up someone Alexi knows with someone who can help those awakening to their psychic gifts.

In the very first match of the new KOF, Alexi, Kagero, and Roy face off against Milia Rage, The Piper, and Blood Rose. When the piper hurls his instrument (more of a piccolo) at Kagero and it starts siphoning out her blood, the question arises of whether or not this team has appeared simply to kill them. A psychic criminal by the name of Arcanum is tracked by the party. After investigating the house of his missing (?)parents which he seems to have visited after getting out of jail, Arcanum is tracked to an office space where he is to meet with Shadoloo. The party is blindsided by the Order of Perpetual Darkness (they're literally blinded), and Gloria appears with Vincent Bellock and several other aura users in her entourage. They claim a prisoner, telling the party not to interfere. Vincent has his powers back.

Kagero and Gloria Team Up*

A ninja and a staff fighter kidnap Long Sying Caine from the Sarah’s dojo. After much delving into the criminal underground, it is discovered he is being held by the Black Hand, an affiliation that dates back centuries and whom none in the underground dare cross. They are told you must know the depths of desire to know the Black Hand, and the riddle reveals the name Nozomi Fukami.

The party fights her on her Hong Kong turf and barely manages to escape with their lives. The Black Hand is a supernaturally tall Japanese woman in a purple kimono, ancient style hair, and one hand that is large and demonic. Even being skewered through the chest by Tres’s sword and being offered to Demitri couldn’t make her admit defeat.

Realizing that the item he promised a dying man to keep safe will only put those around him in danger from the Black Hand, Long Sying Caine returns to wandering – though with sizable bus money from Alexi.

Roy is still working on the fighting game (using friends and other people he knows as characters). Late this night, suddenly the building is empty. A copy boy's blood is smeared on the wall. Coworkers that have had their eyes sewn shut attack him. He calls Alexi (him being nearby) and an ambulance (the crew of which vanishes).

Things get creepier until they track the problem to a cavern beneath the building where Blackhawk with the help of Ayane is capturing people's souls (and the filing of nails and sewing of eyes is done digitally by the computers that sucked out said souls while they worked at their cubicles).

Mr. Sark, Blackhawk's espionage specialist, is introduced.

Lord Blackhawk creates soulless clones of Lucius Archon's parents (who died in a freak weather anomaly when he was an infant) in an attempt to get a teenager of obvious power to raise the Shadoloo way. A major showdown occurs at a press conference where Lucius is about to be lost to Shadoloo. This sees the introduction of Darkness and Light, Blackhawk's right and left hand men.

Alexi and Sarah also run into four of a new kind of revenant, the Myrmidons. (Their stats will be available on the character menu.)

The party defeats Mettle of Honor (Heidern, Cammy, Maimin' Major Maxwell).

A horrible scary slaughter outside Kagero's*

Yuki is captured. Irish mob and ninjas are fought.

Bison throws down with Cervantes and Nightmare.

Rose comes to visit and thank the party for saving her life and to tell them the truth about Psycho Power and M. Bison's origin.

A strange Chinese man in a wheelchair comes to visit Sarah at the dojo. She has no idea who it was. After making no sense, he leaves.
