"Tempered by Fire, if they did not break, they are now stronger.
But a broken sword has more edges with which to inflict a grievous wound.
And can sometimes be re-forged."
Act III. Epilogue
Scene 1. Sleeping Beauty
Alexi is currently unreachable and Kagero is busy so Chizuru contacts Roy. "Some immediate action needs to be taken regarding Sarah's current state."
Realizing that was a mistake, Chizuru then contacts Alexi. Alexi learns he must find a way to stabilize Sarah's spirit. Her energy was terribly damaged when Miranda tore herself from her host. The answer to heal her: the Ragnar stone in the possession of Lord Blackhawk. And so, Alexi bribes Balrog for information on how to find Lord Blackhawk.
Alexi travels to Thailand to meet with Mr. Sark. He is told Blackhawk will not part with the Ragnar; however, Alexi can go to Mri Granka. Chizuru and Sarah are brought to Thailand. So, Alexi and Chizuru (with Sarah) go by boat with Mr. Sark to Mri Granka. Sitting in a throne like a king or judge, Blackhawk, with Darkness to his left and Light at his other hand, asks for recommendations from his two most trusted soldiers. Light says generosity is its own reward. Darkness says Alexi's cries and lamentations over his wife will be their own reward. After mulling it over, Blackhawk tosses Chizuru the Ragnar stone, and she uses it to stabilize Sarah's shredded energy.
Before leaving, they see Artemis (or more appropriately Lord Blackhawk's wife
who occupies the body formerly occupied by Artemis). Lord Blackhawk ignores a
message from Bison that the capture of Sarah is crucial and allows Alexi, Sarah,
and Chizuru to leave unharmed. This action by a lord of Shadoloo greatly
confuses Alexi.
The Long Road to Victory Begins . . .
With trembling eyes full of fear, the young Rock Howard watches the scenery pass
rapidly beneath him through windows in the floor. Kain pats him on the head and
rests a comforting hand on the kid's shoulder. "Don't worry," Kain
says, "everything is going to be all right."
Insert Adventure Title Here
The party meets a Capoeira/model in Brazil by the name of Alexia. She quickly gains some reasons to dislike Shadoloo and, possibly against common sense, decides to hang out with Alexi, Kagero, and Barahime.
"This is my company now. You cannot have it back."
Alexi is contacted by Kaori, an employee of Reimi J'hana, who tells him there is still a department operating under the post-mortum direction of Miranda. Alexi assembles several friends, and together, they shut down Science Division 13 permanently and tell Damian Katoon and Siritaki to disappear. Although not present, this action destroys Saki's power base and support structure. Before destroying the mountain-side installation, the players watch several things on the facilities video feeds: one shows Saki fighting a losing battle against Shadoloo. The party witnesses a hidden camera revealing a doctor's conversation with Reimi J'hana in which it is revealed that her mother had something implanted in her body which cannot be removed. And lastly, another feed shows blackness and malevolence, a feed Roy quickly shuts off before
she can reach out.
The Lady Really Likes Her Coffee
Alexi is approached to become a paid delivery man for an antique coffee grinder won on eBay. Ten Gs always being useful when the hospital bills are mounting, Alexi travels to Palermo, Sicily where he runs a gauntlet of Shadoloo agents (Tycho B. Cotter, Mr. Sark) trying to stop him. After his taxi driver leads him into a trap, the loss of the item, and eventually recovering the grinder in a fight that tears apart a hotel room, Alexi delivers the item where he receives his money and a favor from Karina Bertami.
Order of Heavenly Wrestlers
The Order of Heavenly Unity starts broadcasting a signal that brainwashes viewers into becoming new members.
The players attempt to dismantle their large church in Southtown which is the source of the broadcasts, but the Church has several new unwilling members: Zangief, Hugo, and Blue Mary. The players attempt to infiltrate but are eventually trapped and forced to fight. The battle sees the introduction of Shirley Cipher, sister of Derryl Cipher, and the reappearance of Susan Cassle. The priest in charge has Ayane and Roxy serving as his acolytes which does not save him from the car bomb planted by Geese's agent, Hopper.
