Crucis Arms Industries has developed this anti-personnel flamethrower for general usage by military forces worldwide. The LS variant comes with a built in laser sight, while the SM model contains an integral smartlink.

The flamethrower operates in two modes, single shot and continuous fire (CF). It requires no expenditure of action to go between modes -- they exist simply to differentiate between styles (no mechanical change occurs within the flamethrower). Single shot mode is the same mode described in the Shadowrun rulebook and is self-explanatory: it does the base damage code for the weapon and expends one charge/unit of ammunition per complex action.
Continuous fire mode is similar to full-automatic fire. It is a complex action attack mode that allows the user of the flamethrower to spend extra charges/"ammunition" on a given target, sweep the flame across to multiple targets, or any combination of the two. In continuous fire mode, the flamethrower is able to shoot up to five charges per complex action. A minimum of one charge must be used per target, and each extra charge beyond the first increases the power code of the attack by one. The damage code (M) remains the same, however. Target numbers to hit each target are calculated independently, and attack success tests are resolved independently for each target. It should be noted that the expenditure of multiple charges incurs no recoil or recoil modifiers.
Flamethrower attacks are resisted with one-half impact armor (rounding down). If an attack hits a target, regardless of whether it does damage to the target, the chance to ignite items on that target (as well as the target itself) exists. A resistance test for each ignitable item should be made, with the GM assigning appropriate target numbers based on the flammability of the given item. A clean miss (such as one generated through use of combat pool) would not require such a test.
Reloading of the flamethrower is no simple task. To remove a fuel
cylinder requires a complex action, and the installation of another requires
another complex action.
