Dust Beast
This spell creates a swirling construct
of dust that has a very limited, humanoid form. It is not a creature or
a spirit, but a focusing of spell energies that requires the full, sustained
effort of the caster to move or take action. The beast has physical attribute
ratings that are equal to half the number of successes achieved during
casting (but has no mental attributes to speak of, being a spell construct).
The beast can be used to "physically" attack, carry items, or
perform some task, and it may only act during an action in which the caster
is permitted to act. Controlling the beast is a complex action. Physical
attacks launched on the beast have no effect, but spell effects can destroy
it. All spells launched on the beast are unresisted and use a target number
equal to the force of the dust beast spell. A single deadly hit is needed
to dispel the beast -- lesser spell damage will not accumulate.
