CATHOLIC SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
St. Saviour Parish closed its Catholic Elementary School at the end of the 2001/02 school year due to low enrollment. Since the parish still feels strongly about our parish children receiving a Catholic school education, St. Saviour Parish will pay the difference between the cost of in-parish tuition and out-of-parish tuition for its grade school age (Grades K-8) parishioners who wish to attend one of the surrounding area Catholic Grade Schools (St. John the Evangelist-Deer Park, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart-Reading, St. Michael-Sharonville, St. Vincent Ferrer-Kenwood, Nativity-Pleasant Ridge, All Saints - Montgomery, Sts. Peter & Paul, Reading). Families of these students must be active members of St. Saviour. This way your child(ren) can attend a Catholic grade school and still remain a member of St. Saviour Parish.
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION (PSR)
The St. Saviour Parish School of Religion seeks to foster the growth of our parish children in their Catholic faith. The program is open to those children in the parish who are attending public schools in Grades K-8 and to preschool age children (ages 3 and 4).
The program provides for formal classroom instruction, experiences of prayer, worship and community service. This program meets on Sunday mornings from mid September to early May from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM in the parish education center.
Parishioners serve as Catechists (teachers). Most of our Catechists are certified by the Archdiocese at the first level of certification and are encouraged to continue to earn the highest level of certification. Our Cathechists are paid a stipend according to the level of their certification.
