CATHOLIC SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
St. Saviour Parish closed its Catholic Elementary School at the end of the 2001/02 school year due to low enrollment. Since the parish still feels strongly about our parish children receiving a Catholic school education, St. Saviour Parish will pay the difference between the cost of in-parish tuition and out-of-parish tuition for its grade school age (Grades K-8) parishioners who wish to attend one of the surrounding area Catholic Grade Schools (St. John the Evangelist-Deer Park, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart-Reading, St. Michael-Sharonville, St. Vincent Ferrer-Kenwood, Nativity-Pleasant Ridge). Families of these students must be active members of St. Saviour. This way your child(ren) can attend a Catholic grade school and still remain a member of St. Saviour Parish.

PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION (PSR) The St. Saviour Parish School of Religion seeks to foster the growth of our parish children in their Catholic faith. The program is open to those children in the parish who are attending public schools in Grades K-8 and to preschool age children (ages 3 and 4).

The program provides for formal classroom instruction, experiences of prayer, worship and community service. This program meets on Sunday mornings from mid September to early May from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM in the parish education center.

Parishioners serve as Catechists (teachers). Most of our Catechists are certified by the Archdiocese at the first level of certification and are encouraged to continue to earn the highest level of certification. Our Cathechists are paid a stipend according to the level of their certification.

ST. SAVIOUR IS WORKING WITH ST. JOHN'S ON PLANS FOR THE FUTURE!
Starting in October 2002, St. Saviour Parish's Pastoral Council started meeting with St. John the Evangelist Parish's Pastoral Council (located a mile down Plainfield Road in Deer Park) and an Archdiocesean facilitator in reference to the two parishes working together for the future. Specifically, plans for the two separate parishes being served by one pastor. After several meetings the planning has evolved into each parish appointing a committee of representatives who, along with each parish's pastor, are working on a serious plan that would be implemented when decided by the Archdiocese that only one pastor would service the two parishes. When the plan is complete, it will be presented to the Archbishop for his approval. Please watch the bulletin for periodic updates on this under Futures Committee.
