Information
MWA Conference on the IU campus

The Campus

Indiana University Campus is located in the Northeast quadrant of Bloomington. Most of our Conference activities will take place in the Northeast part of the campus. During the regular school year there are approximately 35,000 students on campus; however during the summer that number drops to 7,000 or 8,000. It is a beautifully landscaped campus with many trees and most buildings constructed of Indiana limestone. If you prefer to walk to classes held in buildings away from the residence center, bring walking shoes. We plan to run buses continuously for those people who need a ride. The distance between classrooms is fairly short.

Housing

Indiana University's Residential Programs and Services (IU-RPS) is pleased to offer single and double room accomodations in the McNutt and Foster Quadrangles-adjacent to each other.

All rooms are air-conditioned, with individual controls for each room. Bed linens are provided and include: 2 sheets (bottom and top), pillow with case, (You may request a blanket.) washcloth and 2 towels (small). You might want to bring bath towels.

Accomodations will be offered on gender specific as well as co-ed floors. Baths are gender specific and are located off each hallway. Residents are encouraged to bring a robe, sweats, or other clothing to wear when going from room to bath.

Indiana University is proud to be a smoke-free environment.

Telephones are provided in each room. Local calls are free. Long distance calls may be made with a calling card or by collect. In the event of an emergency, individuals may call the McNutt center office at (812) 855-1183.

Food

Food service will be provided in the McNutt Dining Hall. Breakfasts feature at least one hot entree with meat and one without; a variety of cereals, muffins and bagels; also batter for "make your own" Belgian waffles is available; a variety of drinks, including coffee, juices and milk. Lunch and dinner menus feature at least three main entrees-one will be vegetarian; one (could be vegetarian) is always low fat, low cholesterol. Of the two non-vegetarian entrees, if one is pork, the other will be non-pork, to accomodate kosher diets. Both lunch and dinner feature extensive salad bars, juices, three kinds of milk, six different sodas, homemade desserts and breads. All meals are "All-you-can-eat"!

*Important note for individuals on special diets* IU-RPS menus are extensive as well as widely varied, accomodating most dietary needs; however, if you have specific dietary needs, indicate them in the space provided on the registration form.
