Bloomington and Area Link to city of Bloomington TRAVEL by car and by air By Car Bloomington is located in south central Indiana about 45 miles South of Indianapolis. The main highway from Indianapolis to Bloomington is 37S, which is 4 lane. Indianapolis is sort of a hub for interstates and I-465 is the beltway around the city. Following are some suggested routes: From NW on Interstate 65 to Indy to 465S to Exit 4, Highway 37S to Bloomington From NE on Interstate 69 to Indy to 465S to Exit 4, Highway 37S to Bloomington From SE on Interstate 74 to Greensburg, Indiana, Exit 134, Highway 46W to Bloomington From S on Interstate 65 to Columbus, Indiana, to Exit 68, Highway 46W to Bloomington From W on Interstate 70 to just East of Terre Haute, Indiana, to Exit 11, Highway 46E to Bloomington. After arriving in Bloomington, drive to McNutt Quadrangle on the campus of Indiana University. There are maps on page 4-5 of the registration book. By Air The Indianapolis International Airport serves Bloomington. Bloomington Shuttle Service, Inc. provides shuttle service between Bloomington and the Indianapolis Airport. They have agreed to add McNutt Quadrange as a second pick up point, in addition to the I.U. Memorial Union, during our conference. The McNutt time schedule would be approximately the same as the I.U. Memorial Union.
