Jan Doyle
Wakefield, Rhode Island

Jan is a full time fiber artist and weaving teacher, concentrating on the design and weaving of doubleweave pick-up clothing, costumes and sculpture. Her pieces have appeared most recently in the HGA’s Convergence fashion shows, MWA Conferences, the Old Lyme Art Museum, the White Gallery in Barrington, R.I., the Newport Art Museum, SS&D magazine and Weavers magazine. She has taught her unique color approaches, dyeing techniques, warp planning and doubleweave pick-up to guilds and conferences throughout the U.S. Her comic offbeat approach to fiber and life in general make her workshops and lectures a unique experience. Her newly formed company, Dyed at Sea, offers her hand-dyed and resisted fabrics for the quilting and rag weaving market.
